The Shiwanda Estate is located in the Mbozi District of Southwestern Tanzania between Lake Tanganyika to the north and Lake Malawi to the south, an older estate that saw a resurgence in coffee production in the late 90’s. All of these beans come from this single, high altitude estate. The estate uses the Tanzania Coffee Research Institute (TACRI) varietals. TACRI is committed to improving coffee varietal quality and diversity in Tanzania and helping to revive the Tanzanian coffee industry.
