Kenya Nyeri AB Gatomboya
Gatomboya is a coffee “factory”, a wet mill where the coop members bring coffee cherry for pulping,
fermenting, washing, drying. Small washing stations are aligned with a particular “society” which is
what they call a cooperative in Kenya; the Barichu FCS (Farmers Cooperative Society) in this case. These societies allow smaller farmers to work together to reach a larger market. Small farms allow for a more attentive growing process resulting in excellent quality control and extraordinary coffee.
